I came across this scrapbook scanned and uploaded onto Flickr by “Pagan555″ and posted on 50 Years in Dance. It is a sensational record of the stars of Sadler’s Wells, a young Margot Fonteyn and Robert Helpmann and features what must be signed press photographs from all the main productions at Sadler’s Wells in the late 30s and early 40s.

Here is a clip of 18 yr old Fonteyn performing with Helpmann in Giselle, 1937 in which she states how she learned from him. It certainly shows in the next clip of Margot as Cinderella  Watch as she floats across the room starting at 1:10 on.
